From the Principal
WHS will send home a nine-week, Quarter Report grade card in October and then another progress report in November before wrapping up our first semester with a semester report card in Mid-December.
Our students had a visit from Dr. Francisco Reveles. Dr. Reveles is a former high school principal, a writer, a file-maker, and a candidate for California's Superintendent for Public Instruction. Dr Reveles encouraged students to maintain a focus upon their future, their families, and individual achievement. Dr. Reveles asked WHS students to be proud of and to emulate positive role models like our current student body officers, Cristina Mora (President), Victoria Lopez (Vice President), Marisol Moreno (Secretary) and Ana Medina (Treasurer).
There were 41 students with perfect attendance (no absences/no tardies) in our first month. Junior, Rodolfo Iniguez and Sophomore, Danny Schaefer, were picked randomly to receive brand new Chico State sweatshirts as rewards. By the way, WHS students are encouraged to wear college sweatshirts/tshirts every Monday to demonstrate school spirit as wellas maintianing a focus upon the future.
